Well we are running it again this year after last years success even if it was eventful

This is a camping trip suitable for open canoes, sit-on-tops and kayaks as it is a fairly flat stretch of the wye

This years setoff point will be Lucksall, not Hereford (I promise not Hereford). Camp at hoarwithy and finish at Ross On Wye

We will be camping at Hoarwithy again, as we are allowed to have open fires there and thats what we cook the BBQ on

Some of us will be camping at hoarwithy on the friday night too and enjoying the cooked food and sampling the local beverages.

Everyone is welcome to join us

You will need to bring a boat spraydeck if needed, paddle/s and full paddling clothing kit (B/A, wetsuit, helmet, waterboots etc), also your own camping equipment and plates, cups and cutlery for the bbq. you will also need to bring lunch for the 2 days paddling too, and money to pay for the nights camping

The BBQ will be mainly meat!!! Oh Yeah !!! so veggies please tell us.............. so we can bring a cabbage ( I'm joking) and left overs from the bbq will make up the next days breakfast. the BBQ is provided by the club for you

If you dont feel like paddling, but would like to join us for the bbq and camp over, then that is fine too.

We tend to run this event whatever the weather, It makes for more fun!!! the only time we will cancel this is due to stormy conditions.

If you would like to come along, please add your names to the following link and state the nights you will be staying

I think everyone in the club would be with me on thanking Andy White, our Chairman, for all the hard work and time he has put into securing quite a large grant fund from Sport Wales which will now go towards equipment, storage and training which will all be sorted out in the near future.

So thank you Andy, and to the rest of the committee for volunteering thier time.

Below is just a little funny vid I put together from the AGM, and one of Colin and Mark un-intentally dancing

Once again the discussion on wether we keep this facility or drop it has raised its head again.

The price for the use of this has risen this year and we have paid up until 30th march 2013

We would now like you to post on this thread/ forum the amount of times that you use this facility and for what purpose, for all of 2012 ( do not include prior use)

As both pool fees have risen, we need to make sure that the money we spend is used wisely

please also fill in the poll above, you can enter multiple answers but please try not to contradict yourself!!!

you can also discuss the issue further by replying below

    Thank You for your time

    Hey,

I'm just posting up to see if any club members are interested in partaking in a WWSR course in the next couple of months. The club has organised wwsr courses for members for the past couple of years with great success with a local provider and friend of the club (Glynn Lewis). All the participants have had a great time and learnt loads of the weekend and will recommend them to all members

The course is run over two days (usually a weekend), with a day at Symonds Yat on the Wye and a day on the Usk (usually Talybont-Llangunidir section). Is open to those with some moving water experience (as there elements that require paddling)

The course really is a must for those wishing to progress there white-water skills. The course is limited to a max of six persons and will cost approximately £100 (CIWW currently charge approx £150 for this course)

As soon as there are six names confirmed, i will set a date for this course (likely to be around Jan/Feb time

If interest, put your name on the list below
